Copy GPS Maps onto Basecamp

Hi All

Is there a way to copy the Zumo map update I bought onto my Mac? I want to have the new map available for when I don't have the device with me.

I have a Zumo 660 and recently bought and upgraded my 2010 ver. for the "CN NorthAm NT 2012 US & Canada" map on my device. I've installed BaseCamp and can see both maps (2010 and 2012 versions) when I connect my Zumo. I loose the 2012 map when I disconnect it. When I originally downloaded the upgrade I remember I chose to save it to my Mac also, but I've lost that computer since.

I've tried going onto MyGarmin to re-download it but the only option is to download it to my Zumo. I've also searched this forum for a solution but I cannot find any relevant one since the posts i find are for older versions of Basecamp... maybe there is something available now?

I have even gone to /library/applicationsupport/garmin/maps and tried to copy the file from my gps on another folder to see if that did it, but could not make it work... :confused:

Re-download you map, on one of the screens you will see an advance button. Click that button and it will give you the option of installing on you mac. Someone put the install on computer check on the page where advance button used to be. I used it once but the install failed and the next day the check box was hidden again behind Advance button.

Did not get far enough on the re-download screens to see the advance button and since it is a big download, did not want to start on that path.... but, you are right, and I am in the process of re-downloading the map! fingers crossed! Thanks again!

Ya it only took me 3 maps updates measured in hours each to remember the advance button and get the download in 1 try. Actually, the one I remembered to look for the advance button was the on they placed in the workflow where it should be with the install on computer checkbox and it failed and it took me 4 downloads to get that updated map.
