  • Wow lot of stuff. I did not see my favorite mentioned in the list, zooming in and out following the cursor position. Activity routes are really nice, they add to BaseCamp planning ability and BaseCamp differentiate Garmin from all competitors. However, I find most Garmin GPS will not create the same route even when the GPS accepts upload routes. It is probable not possible to add this features to existing GPS with firmware updates. When I go to Garmin's product page to compare GPS, BaseCamp is not mention and it appears to me Garmin is missing a major marking advantage. Garmin needs to starting making GPS that are certified compatible with BaseCamp. The automative products need to accept routes from BaseCamp and the route should be the same route drawn in BaseCamp in My opinion.

Great release. Thanks for listening Dev Team!

I'm still voting for the following:

    • The MapSource users will never move to BC without these:
    • Garmin GPX Extensions support in the Waypoint Properties Advanced page.
    • Waypoint Catagories:

    • I would still like to see the Custom Symbol Manager recognize and manage symbols for the newer On Trail GPS's that support Custom Symbols. [Is there and issue with transferring symbols to the GPS:Garmin\CustomSymbol\ folder from BaseCamp?]

Always good to have new goals!;)

    Cheers,

Glad to see so many updates in response to users' requests. Hopefully, our request will be included in the next one. When we load a Pocket Query in Basecamp we need the geocache names to download to our Nuvi 200 - not the GC codes.

I certainly don't speak for the BC folks, but it seems to me that Groundspeak is where the problem lies - they are not coding the Pocket Query the way some users want.

If geocache users want the GPX Waypoint name to reflect the Geocache Name in the GPX Waypoint Name field and the Groundspeak Geocache Code in the "groundspeak:name" field, then Groundspeak should fix the Pocket Query GPX export utility.

    Just a thought. . .

Mapsource was able to change the GC code to cache names in our Nuvi 200.
  • I"m sure the developers can change the geocache code to name but the Nuvi 200 is an automotive product. I have used the Dakota and Oregon for paperless geocaching. BaseCamp can send logs, descriptions, hints, plus geocache name and everything about the cache to many of the outdoor devices.

We use the Nuvi with its spoken directions to drive us close to the cache. Once there we use our other devices - I have an iPhone and my hubby a Garmin 62s.

Change log looks great, but i tried new version and have got device communication errors every time then i plug in my gpsmap 62. Device is visible, but a lot of error alerts on screen is not so comfortable. Attempt to copy satellite image to device card every time brings to application crash. I've downgraded to 3.1.4 and no errors :(
    OS X 10.6.8, Macbook Pro mid 2010.

Changes made from version 3.1.4 to 3.2.1:
-Track lines are now so thin program is unusable.

    Other Changes
    -irrelevant

    :D

There really needs to be a link here to 3.1.4. Some people need a way back to something that works.

    Line Thickness

To have subfolders is a huge improvement for organizing large collections of track - thanks!

What drives me crazy after 3 days using basecamp 3.2.1 is
    - line thickness
only some colours are thick enough to be recognized on the map. Please make that adjustable in preferences!
    - not seeing all tracks without selecting individual tracks in the list

I really appreciate Garmins efforts to support Mac users with Basecamp getting better every release.
