Alas...
I updated to 3.2.0.9 from 3.2.0.7 and tried recalculating a number of automobile routes that were pretty funny in 3.2.0.7 (routes that were considerably longer and on smaller roads than they ought to be).
Anyways, I tried 3 routes, 2 of approximately 200 miles and 1 that's about 10 miles but along a small dirt road. The underlying maps are the Topo 24K West DVD (CA, NV, OR, WA).
The dirt road route is better than before, with a few weirdnesses.
The automobile routes, which are roughly 200 miles each, became direct routes; there's not even a pretense of a road. They also take 0 minutes, by the way.
So I'm sorry to say that the routing algorithm is definitely not up to previous standards. :(
