Changes made from version 3.2.0.7 Beta to 3.2.0.9 Beta:

Thanks for this...I just Imported 8200 waypoints with the same Name in about 1sec. with no issues.

Cheers,
• We're also hoping that this fixed the startup hang a few users were experiencing in 3.2.0.7. If you are one of those users, we'd really appreciate knowing if this addresses your problems.

Sorry to report that although the startup behavior has changed a bit, it still results in a non-functioning program.

On my 3.2 gHz i3 iMac running 10.6.7 the 3.2.0.7 version would launch, fail to draw the map, then crash or freeze. The 3.2.0.9 version launches, draws the map, then checks for updates, then sits there with the cursor blinking and looking normal. But when you move the cursor to any function -- menu, list, tools or the map -- clicking does nothing and none of the functions work. The only way to exit is to Force Quit.

The beta installed and runs OK on my MacBook running 10.5.8.

• Fixes to the routing algorithm have been made, but we haven't been able to confirm that it is completely back to the pre-beta standards.
[email protected] if you see issues.

Routing is much improved but not back as good as it was before the beta. On a route from Dahlonega, GA to Cave City, KY 3.2.0.7 just about double them mileage from approximately 320 to almost 600 miles. 3.2.0.9 only adds about 50 by taking me south to atlanta and then north west to intersect the the none beta route. Time wise, there may be little difference because of the interstate vs back roads.

I don't see how you guys do as well as you do considering all the different devices garmin has but in the past for the most part if I selected similar routing preferences, I could add a destination favorite and get the same route as basecamp. Currently that is not happening.

Auto update work for me.

Thanks
• Still crashing

Loaded the update seemed to work, however, the next time I started my computer the program does not function. It shows the last screen I was on however nothing works. I couldn't get the previous version to work I will simply wait for it to be in the App store.

The beta is not working on my macbook air. After startup it freezes..
• Possible Intermitant Bug

9 times out of 10 BaseCamp Beta 3.2.0.9 launches at the same zoom level it was closed at. Once out of ten it opens at 500 mile scale. Has anyone else seen this, or am I the only lucky one? :)

Still Hangs on Start

I installed the 3.2.09 beta and still have the problem with Basecamp hanging on start. I am running the US english version of OSX 10.6.7 on an Imac 27 inche - core i7 with 12 GB of memory and the 256 SSD as the main drive.

I did a clean rebot prior to the install with nothing else running.
• Corupt Data File

Just had BaseCamp return a "corrupt file and corrupt backup" error message on launch. Letting the app launch and then trying to restore from the most recent backup causes a crash. Restoring from a second (duplicate, dumb luck) backup was successful.
• GDB File Incompatability

.gdb files exported by BaseCamp return an error message "not a valid MapSource file" when I try and open the file in MapSource(6.13.7 and the most current version). Are they different formats?

I haven't had any problem's importing/exporting GDB or GPX files from BC-MacBeta to BC-WinBeta to Mapsource and back.
