BaseCamp 3.2.0.7 beta

Thanks for the folders. You guys did it right, click a folder and see all the lists plus seeing all the geo objects in the second list below. Seems like every release gets faster to the point 3.2.0.7 is just a blink.

I have installed the beta on 2 iMacs and a MBP. All three installs went the same. Program installed, basecame restarted by itself and crashed. After the second launch, no more crashes.

I have seen no freezing problems, the only bug I am seeing is Automotive routing is taking me a 300 miles when the route should be 100 miles.

I have a crash during installation on the end. The installation process is finishing correct, but it will give an error. I tried to install 3 times, all three times an error.

When i try to start BC 3207 beta it also gives an error.

BeseCamp3207 crash on end of installation process
    BaseCamp3207 crash during startup

BC 3.1.4 still starts normal and even starts the macdebugger to send reports.

    Ahhhh, d*mn

Warning: This beta is English-only and won't run in other languages. If you are not running your Mac in English, don't install this beta.

Silly me, Garmin is US only these days, the rest of the world does not exist anymore. This is the first time that Garmin is doing this bad trick.

    Why?

this is an early beta, for heavens sake! Localizing into 20 languages does not happen with the flick of a switch. It is normal for companies to release betas as English only; finalize UI changes; and then send it to the 3 week localization cycle. We should be thanking them for giving us the early beta, not complaining about it.
  • PAXTER1 said "There's unfortunately a startup crash for non-English languages in the beta" Sounds to me like it just might be a bug in the beta version.

I don't mind that the Beta is in English only, but normaly it always was possible to run on other language systems and then BaseCamp is in English.

Now it's not running at all ;)

Oh that- agree. It is a pretty nasty bug to have the app crash on other languages. They weren't kidding when they said beta!
