Combining Birdseye Maps?

Is it possible to combine multiple Birdseye downloads into a single file? I have several and it makes it all appear very piecemeal. If I could select multiple files and have them merge that would be perfect - is that possible, anyone?

Additionally, does anyone know how to more precisely select an area of interest to download? ie. the select tools are still cumbersome. To any developers out there, would it be possible to have a select tool option to pick sections by grid, or unselect unwanted parts of a larger selection? This could reduce overall download data volume and let me choose more precisely areas that are of interest to me over a larger geographical area.

I''m using GPS utility for setting up a grid with waypoints (10 km distance)
Load the waypoints in basecamp select 4 waypoints, rightclic on the selected waypoint in the list below and select make a route with selected points.(setup in the preference using direct routes)
rightclic the route you made and select download birdeye image.

Basecamp make now a perfect square image from the area.
after downloading remove the route from the list, select next 4 waypoints and repeat.

It is a bit of a workaround, but it made perfect images with no overlap or gap between it.
