Base camp Beta?

I couldn't find how to set up sub-folders to organize my lists data. How is that done? Thanks
  • Right click in the list pane and select "New List Folder", or select the same from the file menu. Drag existing lists into the resulting folder or create new ones.

Nice features, unfortunately only for an English Mac OS X
Does anyone know a trick to get it run with a German Mac OS?

    Thanks,

    Oliver

Our betas are typically English only. Attempting to run this BaseCamp beta in a non - english language will cause crashes.

The final release will be localized.

Isn't it possible to preset the language to English? In this case also "foreign" user can test beta version...

    Thanks,

  • no joy

Hi, i tried installing the beta, all seemed to go well but app is now totally unusable. The app starts, check for updates, then appears to be fine but nothing works. I have no option but to 'Force Quit' the app. Reverting back to the previous version restores normal operation.

Does deleting this folder make the 3.2.0.7 Beta start for you?
    /Users/USERNAME/Library/Caches/com.garmin.BaseCamp/Analytics

  • still no luck

I' m afraid not, the only difference it made was that the map defaults to one of my tracks, before it defaulted to somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!

  • Same thing happened to me after working fine when I first downloaded the program. had to go to another program to make the force quit option work. I also trashed the suggested folder without any effect. Reverted back to the previous program and everything works.

To clarify, deleting that folder would probably only fix BaseCamp once, so you'd have to remove it while BaseCamp isn't running and then launch BaseCamp to see if it has any affect. Sorry for the nebulous instructions :(.
  • Base Camp was not running when I trashed the program. When Base camp crashed I could not activate anything while in Base Camp. After I force quit Base Camp I then trashed the folder and re-opened Base Camp but it didn't work.
