BaseCamp 3.1.4 available on Mac App Store

What's New in Version 3.1.4:

* Fixed an issue where previous users of BaseCamp may not see their data when upgrading to the App Store version. Their previous data will be restored.
* Fixed an issue where sending data to an Edge 800 caused a crash.
* Fixed an issue where BaseCamp may hang at start up.
  • BaseCamp 3.1.4 is available on the web now. POI Loader should be today or tomorrow.

Edit: Sorry to get your hopes up, but it looks like its going to take a bit longer to finish the POI Loader installer testing. It's probably going to be a week or so more. Given that you are running 10.6 is there a reason that the App Store is not working for you?

    3. Smart Lists are very useful in managing List data. Please enhance the Smart List filters so that multiple lists can be used in filtering. As it works now, when you add more than one "List Name" as a filter, none of the list items show (See attached Screen Capture).

what is desperately absent is the concept of AND and OR. basecamp only use 'AND' so only if a waypoint is in ALL comparisons will it be in that smart list. it is NOT very useful to be AND only. We need OR. It is very nice that you can pick another list as a comparison, but not actually very useful, about 90% of the usefulness is lost by only having AND operator.

Yes, agree that smartlists would be very nice.

I'd also like to have "Folders" available. (And that also means nested folders.)

How much is lost by just doing multiple smart lists instead? It's quite a bit of complexity for the user to be choosing AND/OR, which is the main reason we shied away from it. Hypothetically, would folders combined with multiple smart lists be the same as the OR operator you're looking for?
