The sequence error of the Active Log is still there - only in Basemap is a date sequence sorting Day number before Month before year.

In the rest of the computerised world the collating sequence would be
Year Month Day regardless of how the data was laid out on the incoming file.
Please fix this huge error it is an enormous usability issue.

    BaseCamp v3.1.4+

    1. Please add the Waypoint "Extended Properties" attributes (address, city, state, country, phone #) like those available in MapSource to the Waypoint Properties "Advanced" window. It would enable using BaseCamp to create and manage Custom POI data and enhance the usability of Waypoints over all.

    2. Please add the Track Edit "Tools" like those in MapSource to the BaseCamp.

    3. Smart Lists are very useful in managing List data. Please enhance the Smart List filters so that multiple lists can be used in filtering. As it works now, when you add more than one "List Name" as a filter, none of the list items show (See attached Screen Capture).

    4. My Collection: allow multiple "Collections".

    Thanks...

    Cheers,

    4. My Collection: allow multiple "Collections".

    Thanks...

    Cheers,

    Everything he Said!

Plus... Allow multiple windows open at the same time with separate collections open in each window. Along with the ability to copy paste from one window to another. Drag and drop would be cool there also.

I noticed, base camp is missing on the garmin download page :(
As someone new to the app store:
When I download basecamp via app store it installs automaticly. Is it possible to stop such a behavior? And can I just take the app and transfer it to an other machine or do I have to download it once more?
  • version 3.1.2 is still available at http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4449.

And yes, you can just copy the app file to another machine. It even runs on 10.5.8.

This has been covered elsewhere, but the naming of those logs is decided by the device, not our app. For example, many devices just name the logs "ACTIVE LOG 001". We won't be doing anything to change the names of received tracks based on their date, but we will be addressing the sorting issue in a future release.

"addressing the sorting issue in a future release. "

when - the easiest question to ask and the hardest one for a developer to answer.

However as an ex IT person, resolving this issue is not beyond the wit of man using a table driven methodology

Do we have an expected time for it to be available via normal download from the Garmin site? (Same with POI Loader.)
