Mixing Autorouting and a direct portion

Hello everyone,

I got a big problem and i don't find any solution.

The image to understand...

I want to use autorouting to make the first part of the way.
I'm going back my way from the COL DU LAC CORNU to the green waypoint DESC WP1. And next, i want to use a direct portion, linking DESC WP1 to Telesiege LAC CORNU.

Is it possible to mix, in a unique way, the autorouting and a direct portion ?

I also would like the ability to mix auto-routing and direct routing. I frequently cycle using a combination of roads that are on City Navigator 2011 and city trails which are not on the map so I'd like to let auto-routing follow the roads and then direct to cycle along the trails.

As it is a work around is to create multiple routes but then you have to select the next route while riding which I'd prefer to not have to do.

The only solution that I can think of is to convert the different auto-routing and direct routing legs of your route into tracks and then join them. Send the track to the device and have it follow the track. This will obviously only work on devices that will follow tracks.

Maybe you need TOPO U.S. 24K maps of your area?

Those maps have many routable trails that are not contained in the City Navigator Maps.

You can view the maps of your area on the Garmin site.

I looked at the Topo 24K map on Garmin's website and unfortunately it does not contain the city trails I was talking about.
