Can anyone upload Tracks form the new Edge 800 into Basecamp 3.1.1 for Mac???? I have taken 3 rides with my new Edge 800 and have not been able to upload any tracks into Basecamp. After a ride, I press stop and then hold down the Lap/Reset key to save the track. I then attach my Edge to my Mac, open Basecamp, press the "Receive" button in Basecamp, but "Routes, Tracks and Waypoints and Geotagged Photos" are grayed out so you cannot select them. The only thing not grayed out is "Garmin Custom Maps and Imagery". I emailed Garmin support and the only thing they said was, "Your device is supported in Mac Basecamp, make sure you save your ride to your device". I did that, but I can not upload to Basecamp! Anyone else have this experience? Anyone able to upload Tracks to Basecamp from the Edge 800???
I must sheepishly admit that there is a way to get routes and waypoints into an Edge 800 using BaseCamp 3.1.2, that I hadn't thought of :o. You can File->Export your data to the /Garmin/NewFiles directory on the Edge 800. The 800 will pick up the files from there as if they were transferred.
I am having major problems uploading routes I have created on Basecamp to my Edge 800 with Discoverer GB maps to use on a long distance trip - some on and some off road so I must create my own route. I've tried saving from Basecamp to 'new file' on the unit as suggested above, but this is not working. I've got the latest Basecamp updates.
