I have TopoCanada which included Mapsource. I want to use it with Basecamp and my new MacBook Pro.

I have not been able to figure out how to import the maps into Basecamp. Previously I used the package on my PC with Mapsource. In mapsource all the maps seem to be imported as .img files.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to proceed?

The maps must be converted to Mac format using a Windows app on a PC called MapConvert. Then the maps can be used on a Mac.

I migrated from my old PowerBook G4 to a new MacBook Pro using the OS-X Migration Assistant. All User Files have transferred to the new Mac. Maps are located in ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Maps/ as on my old Mac.

For some strange reason BaseCamp 3.0.2 is not showing my Topo Swiss v2 map. In the left bottom I have "Basic Map Only". I deleted the Topo Swiss v2.gmap file and reconverted it on my old PC using MapConverter and reimported it to my new Mac using MapManager, but I still have only the basic map.

The "Installed Maps Info" shows no problem. Map is listed as unlocked as all other maps. Other maps seem to have the same problem with BaseCamp but appear correctly using RoadTrip. The Topo map is even displayed correctly in MapInstall. It seems only BaseCamp has this problem.

Solved: after cleaning the preferences file ~/Library/Preferences/com.garmin.BaseCamp.plist, BaseCamp shows all maps correctly.

Had the exact same problem with Training Center when moving to new Mac running Snow Leopard from old mac running Leopard. Used Migration Assistant to move account. After quitting TrainingCenter, removing ~/Library/Preferences/com.garmin.TrainingCenter.plist to the Trash and restarting TrainingCenter, had full resolution. Also, before that I reinstalled the maps using MapManager but I have know idea if that was a necessary step.
