Problem with deleting tracks

Hello, I'm using Garmin Oregon 400t with the Swiss Topo Map and I-Mac with snow leopard. I just started working with BaseCamp (3.0.2), at least a software that allows communication between Garmin and Mac! But there is a problem: I have loaded several tracks (gpx) with basecamp on the oregon. After deleting them in BaseCamp on the computer, they cannot be visualized on the Garmin anymore and they also cannot be deleted from the Garmin. Hope anyone has an idea how to solve this problem ?

Can anyone explain me the difference between RoadTrip and BaseCamp ?

Look for a program for your Mac called cleaneject. This could help with the delete issue. Note this is a free app. If you google it you will find it.

Thank you for your advice, cleaneject did not help, the files still can not be deleted.

Did you empty the trash while the gps is still connected to the computer?

When the garmin mounts on your desktop, it behaves as a thumb drive or usb memory stick. It has an invisible trash folder that appears in your desk top trash. Most garmin's will find the deleted file in the trash folder and show the waypoint, route or track. If you take count of the available space on a memory stick before and after you put something in the trash, you will notice the available space does not change. If you empty the trash on your mac, the available space will increase by the size of the deleted files.

The problem is solved, it was a hardware defect. Garmin has exchanged the device.
