Elevation Tools in BaseCamp

I have been playing around with BaseCamp recently, especially since I just got the Topo 24K DVD. Some wish lists center around BaseCamp utilizing the elevation data present in the map.

1. "View coordinates at cursor" should also show the current elevation, if that data is available.

2. It would be nice for the elevation profile tool to report statistics in a tabular form. I can approximate this by clicking at each end of the track but that only yields net gain. (see request #3)

3. In addition to reporting net gain in the elevation profile, it would be nice to see total gain/loss -- that is, over my track, I climbed 2400 feet but also lost 1000, yielding a 1400 foot net gain (which doing the clicking above would tell me). BaseCamp already has to gather all of the elevation data to display the profile. (You can get this information in tabular form for tracks with embedded elevation data.)

4. If elevation data is available, can we get elevation information for routes as well as tracks? This is obviously most useful for auto-route trails. (I'm specifically asking about the "Summary" box of the "Get Info..." window for routes.) [It would be fine to make this optional, as collecting the data, especially for large routes, would likely take a while.]

5. When doing the 'click-two-points and show the difference between them' on the elevation profile, would it be hard to report %grade? (Yeah, it's just a simple division, but that's the kind of thing computers are good at.)
