I have an Oregon 400t and a MacBook running OSX 10.63. I have been using Basecamp 2.1.2 for about a month to send and receive tracks and waypoints from from my GPS. I recently got back from a bike trip and with about a dozen different tracks and 130 waypoints on my GPS unit. I can see them on the unit, but when I try to download them using Basecamp nothing shows up. I upgraded to 3.0.1, but still no luck. I was able to pull all of the tracks of the unit manually by going into the file folder.
When I plug in the unit it give me a message "There was a problem communicating with the Garmin device."
Also, I noticed that have have several track files labeled "Current Track:" and then the date. I can see them in the track manager on the GPS unit, but I am unable to delete them in the track manager and they do not appear in the gpx folder on when I view it on my computer.
Why can't I download my data using Basecamp and what file contains my waypoint data if I want to manually extract the data from the GPS unit.
