While BaseCamp's main window doesn't support manual resizing below ~650 pixels tall (I believe our stated minimum resolution requirement is 1024x768), it will resize to fit the screen if you click the green zoom button in the top left of the window. Find would likely be a bit cramped, but it should be usable.
I tested this in Snow Leopard by changing my system preferences' Display>Resolution setting to be 800x600. It may be worthwhile to independently confirm that the behavior is the same in other versions of the OS, although I doubt this window behavior would differ.
Thanks for the reply and your test, I'll be installing Snow Leopard on it and am willing do deal with some minor issues like a cramped find. As long as it works. It's for an "on the road in a hotel computer" so it doesn't need to be perfect. Hopefully it works out. I'll report back with a screenshot or something.
