Map selected at startup in basecamp 3

It's a fairly minor niggle but is there any way to set a home location and default map in Basecamp 3?

Each time I start it selects a Morocco topo I have as it's alphabetically the first I assume.
  • BaseCamp should automatically remember the last map you selected and the location in that map. The one exception is if BaseCamp finds a map that is newer than the last time it ran, it chooses that. This is so a newly installed map will automatically be selected. We have discovered some issues with this approach though. As an experiment, select the map you want to save, create a waypoint and quit BaseCamp. When you restart is the Moroccan map still selected?
  • so basically it should pick up where you left off and that's what always happened prior to basecamp 3.0

Just starting and restarting basecamp that's mostly what's happening, it's just sometimes, enough to be noticeable, it's starting up on the Morocco map. Presumably it's something to do with whatever I was doing last which I can't pin down. It's happened enough that there's some pattern to it.

I'll try to get an idea what I was doing before seeing the Morocco map.

of course there's a pattern, I ought to have spotted it sooner.

The last map I was viewing was one of the ones on my 550t, when I restarted Basecamp the 550t wasn't connected.
  • I'm having this same issue. I have a custom China map that is always loading before my European map (which I use much more often). I've tried creating/editing/deleting waypoints, tracks, etc. with my European map selected, but the China map always comes up first whenever I startup BaseCamp.

Any other workarounds you can suggest?

Maybe for future versions it would be nice to implement a "default map" preferences option.

Forgot to mention— this China map is the most recent map that I've installed.
