Downloading routes question

I have loaded the latest version of BaseCamp and when I try to download a route to my Zumo I get a message that there is not enough room, despite the fact I have plenty of room. If I export the route to Road Trip I can then download it to the Zumo without any problem. I have heard of the need to use both programs but I thought that issue was fixed. Any hints how to download routes if i just use BaseCamp? Thanks

Even after the 3.0.1 update RoadTrip still is much smoother at uploading my routes. They go directly to my custom route folder without having to import them from "my data" which always hangs my Zumo. I don't know what to say. No matter how I upload within BC, drag and drop or via the send command they go to "My Data".

I agree I can't seem to get the routes I have created on to the Zumo using BaseCamp so I don't understand what good this application is to anyone with a Zumo. It is so much better then RoadTrip but what good is it if you have to go through some big process to get your data into the unit.

Ok I was able to get it to work using the Drag and Drop method so now I am a happy camper.... because I can get them in but the unit does lockup every time I do it a load from mydata so I just do one at a time and turn it off and back on and it seems to add them in my custom route menu.

Not the best operation but it does work so far every time I have tried it....

I know, my 660 has been doing this as well. I have never made through a full import. I just wait for 60sec and reboot the device, such a pain the rear and for $$$$ device it shouldn't be that way. You must email Garmin support about this issue.

That's why I am still using both though. It's no big deal, just think of RT as a upload tool rather than a map manager.
