An information pane with info like total ascent would be great. Or better a sortable column in my collection with total ascent. I'm also missing a text field for remarks for a track. Someone else is missing this features?
Are you talking about on option to move the name list of tracks, routes and waypoints to the bottom of the screen with the abiltiy to add and sort fields like total distance, ascent, driving time, etc.? I think that would be very helpful for comparing routes or tracks. The only issue I see, for example total distance would only apply to routes and tracks. Rather than have blanks fields for waypoints it would be nice if when you added a new column you could select form logical choices for the 3 types of geodata. For example waypoints could have State or Province, lat/lon, etc.
Yes maybe at the bottom of the screen, maybe a floating window or in the elevation profile window or maybe only a aditional (configurable) column on the right side in my collections (waypoints would be indeed a problem). For me the most important thing is ascent. I always have to export a track to an other tool to get total ascent, then i have to rename the track with ascent information and sort it this way.
