I have a Garmin 450. I have Basecamp on my Mac and I downloaded the communicator plugin for Mac. The problem that I have is when I open Basecamp I can't close it. I have to "force quit" to get out of it. I'm able to transfer tracks fine. Tried to reinstall communicator but it still has the problem. This just started after I installed the plugin
When you go to the BaseCamp menu in the main menu, is Quit grayed out? The released version of BaseCamp has a bug where clicking the red "x" button on the Locked Maps or the Update Maps dialogs at startup rather than the "Close" or "Remind Me Later" buttons would get BaseCamp stuck in a mode where many of the menu options were disabled.
If that's the issue, you should be able to avoid it by clicking any button that's not the red "x" on dialogs you get on startup. I imagine using the cmd+W or esc hotkey on either of those windows would cause the same problem.
Once you start up without that bug, you should see a great deal more than just the Quit option in your menu re-enable :).
