BaseCamp Beta 2.1.1 Upload route to Zumo 660

Hi all. Loving the new BC beta, I'll never use RoadTrip again once I figure out how to get a route(s) to my Zumo 660.

Mac - 10.5.8
Zumo - 3.50

Here is what I have tried with no avail.

1. Adding a route by dragging and dropping it on my Zumo in "My Garmin Devices" does not load the route onto the GPS.

2. Selecting my route folder with 3 different routes and using the "Send to GPS" button did NOT send the routes to the 660.

3. Right click on folder with routes "Send to GPS" also did NOT transfer the routes to the 660.

4. Went back to RoadTrip and the routes transferred just fine.

After each attempt I rebooted he 660 and checked for the routes.

Is there a simple setting that is off because this is very strange?

edit: I should also point out that BaseCamp "thinks" it's sending the routes as I received the confirmation each time but the routes never ended up on the zumo, they even showed in the window which showed the contents of the zumo but after restarting BaseCamp they were not there.

Thanks in advance

    Solved!

    OK. Finally got it. :)
In the description of the route you have all these intermediate waypoints. But I noticed that some of these " via points" in this listing were missing from "my collection".
I remade all these points again, pulled them into the Route planner ét voilà, the route is transferred! YEAH!
No idea why these points were missing in the first place. After spending so much time faffing about you have no idea what you did exactly a couple of hours(!) ago.

So, now the only thing is to sort out the bloody SD. I have taken it out now, because every second time I re-connect the unit to my MAC, it disconnect automatically. A reformat helps but after a couple of times it mucks-up again. I will continue to use my iPhone for the music.
  • Is anyone using a Zumo other the the 660 experiencing problems sending routes? I am unable to recreate this problem on the Zumo 400 or 550 and I don't have access to the 660 yet. I'm having one sent to us, but I wanted to make sure this is a 660 specific behavior.
