Feature or Bug

If my wireless Time Capsule volume is mounted on my MacBookPro, BaseCamp mounts the Time Capsule volume under MyGarminDevices. If you drag a waypoint, BaseCamp creates a garmin folder and saves the waypoint in the folder. You can view the waypoint on the map. I assume you can drag it back to BaseCamp. I think you should label this as another backup feature. This is really cool because if you back up to a GPX file unless you are willing to manually edit the file you end up restoring all you files. BaseCamp folder replaces everything. TimeCapsule backed up through BaseCamp (selecting objects in BaseCamp and dragging them to the mounted time capsule volume) allows you to restore Objective selectively and you can view the objects before dragging them back to BaseCamp.
  • I was once told by a very wise technician "if you can't fix it, feature it." This is sort of in that category. Because we support the ability to save to SD cards, other volumes fit the same criteria, like the Time Capsule, and are also shown. I think it's great to use it as an additional, selective backup if that works for you.
