basecamp datafile

Ok, i got a message when I opened basecamp that my datafile was corrupt and could not be opened. As you can imagine all my waypoints and folders are now gone. I can get some off the 400t however I would not have all my folders.

I make regular backups and would like to restore from there however I can not seem to locate where it stores the datafile? I have restore the basecamp app which did not restore the data.

Anyone have any clue?

    To answer my own question:

All the user data for Garmin's applications are stored in ('~' stands for your home folder)

    ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin
  • Your Data is stored in the path above in the BaseCamp folder. Did you get the message after installing a map from DVD? If you are running the beta of BaseCamp, the DVD will install an earlier version that tells you your maps are corrupted and opens to an empty My Collection except for 3 Garmin Waypoints. You will continue to have the problem until you reinstall 2.1.1 if you replace the BaseCamp folder with 2.1.1 objects (waypoints, tracks, & Routes).
