Reading Maps issue on Basecamp

When connecting my edge540 to garmin Basecamp on my Mac, it gets stuck on "Reading maps". So the Maps does not come up on the screen and I cannot proceed

Which map is it? If it really is stuck, and it can take a while to initially index a map so BaseCamp can use it, then the map is likely corrupted, so I'd try reloading it to the device.

I've found that when this happens, the map will refuse to parse fully and will be in this "stuck" state. The only way I've found around it is to delete the BaseCamp card product cache to allow BaseCamp to re-read/re-parse the maps on the unit/card.
