I like how Basecamp displays the elevation profile. I think it would also be nice if basecamp could provide a "Total Elevation Gain" number like my Dakota 20 does when I look at the elevation profile. (Actually, I'm a little unclear how it calculates this. Does it add elevation every time the unit records a track point that is higher than the last one? So, would the "Total Elevation Gain" number depend on your track recording settings?)
Also, though the elevation profile looks nice in basecamp, I would like to be able to be able to make the graphs in a different program. It would be sweet if basecamp could export the elevation vs distance data in a tab-separated format (or comma separated or whatever).
