My iMac M3 with Sequoia OS has just started to eject my etrex20 when connected via Basecamp, having worked perfectly for 10 plus years
I plug in the etrex and turn on Finder, the Finder after a minute or so recognises the etrex, if I launch basecamp it momentarily recognises the etrex then it disappears from basecamp and I get the message Disk not ejected Properly, eject Garmin before disconnecting. The Garmin is using software version 4.9 and Basecamp 4.8.13. This does not happen when the Garmin is connected just to the computer or to Garmin Express - only when I open Basecamp so this is definitely a Basecamp issue. I have tried removing the SD card with maps but the same thing happens.
This was a question by another user a couple of years ago with an etrex 22x but there were no replies. Any ideas appreciated - I was thinking it was a problem with my etrex 20 and going to upgrade to an etrex 22x but having read the previous question I am now wondering if that is the best idea
