BaseCamp crash - Swisstopo Map v2 on Mac OS X 10.6.1

Hello

I'm trying to use the Swisstopo Map with Base Camp on Mac OS X 10.6.1.
Using the map which is installed per default (US BaseCamp V2) works
fine, but when I use it together with a converted version of Swisstopo
Map from my Windows PC it crashes.

When the map is initially installed Base Camp starts up fine. But as
soon as the Swisstopo map is selected from the Map menu the application
crashes. Attached is the crash report.
The application does not start up anymore after the map has been
selected. It's required to rename or delete the folder
/Users/<myuser>/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Maps
Probably the Swisstopo map is still selected as default which causes the crash.

Base Camp settings are on default values. There are no GPS devices installed yet.

The crash log is indicative of a badly converted map. To fix this, you will probably need to reconvert the map, choosing to not compress when given the choice. The compression option has caused problems for many users and will probably be removed in any future release of MapConverter. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the hint! Converting the map again without compression worked fine.

I use last version MapConverter is not compression by default . but crash too:(
i upload my crash to forums .

Which map did you convert? Can you try doing the conversion again and see if the problem persists?

Delete the preference files

Delete the preference files of base camp if the software is not stable. That will probably fix the issue. The pref file will be renewed when you start the software again.
