Yes, it does. Even on a modern M2 Mac running MacOS 15.2.
However, the preferred software for fitness devices is Garmin Connect, not BaseCamp. Connect is a web service, to up- and download data you need Garmin Express, and that stil supports the Forerunner 305 (pretty amazing for a 19 year old device...)
