Removing tracks from map without deleting them?

I have several tracks I've downloaded from my device which now display on the topo map in BaseCamp. I'd like to keep those tracks, but temporarily remove them from the topo map while I work on new routes. Can't seem to figure out how to do that. Am I missing something obvious?

You should create a new folder that you use when making your new routes. Then when you want to see your tracks again you can view the folder that contains them. If you want to see everything at once you can click on My Collection or better yet create another folder with both your tracks and routes.

BaseCamp routes uploaded to gps

Along those same lines, I've created two separate routes in separate folders but the routes are within a few miles of each other in a state forest. BaseCamp shows each route separately but I've uploaded them to my Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx and both show up on the map at the same time, even though one is active and the other is not. I want to see only one route at a time on my device. How?
