PROBLEMS WITH TRACES on basecamp

hello everyone, is it normal that when I download my waypoints with their tracks, on basecamp I get these straight lines in addition to the tracks ?

Quite possibly. Normally caused by not switching device on or off at start/finish of recording tracks you want

hi Sussamb, thanks for your reply. so do you suggest to always turn off the gps at the end of each recording ?

Yes otherwise you'll get tracks you don't want
