Basecamp not reading device maps (32x)

I found a few topics with similar problems but they are very old and usually don't solve the problem.

Problem:

I have bought an 32x with TopoActive EU Maps installed. The Maps have been updated and i had to buy a 32gb SD card for the update to fit. Everythinbg worked fine.

The first few times i have plugged the device in, Basecamp read the maps (One on device, two on SD card. It takes ages...) and i could use them. But now basecamp only shows one map on my SD card and it says "no valid map product" (in German, don't know what appears in english setting).

Anyone can help me out?

So which map is showing on your device when plugged in and does it display in BaseCamp?

Thanks for answering.

When plugged in the device is in mass storage mode so no map.

Basecamp is showing the global map. But the EU Topoactive map on the device (top left) cant be selected to show (no valid map product…)

Think you misunderstood me. I'm talking about when the device is connected to BaseCamp. Can you post a screenshot showing what you see in BaseCamp?

A few days ago i had three maps visible in the upper left corner of Basecamp: One on the 32x and two on the SD card (EU West, Central and East) and all were being read by Basecamp.

This screenshot is how it looks now.

The upper map on the sd card is an OSM which i have loaded to the device to have a usable map with details since Topoactive EU is not being read.The lower says no valid map product found. When i click it, it says that i can't change to the map until it is fully read, but Basecamp won't read it.

I have bought the device used (but in unused condition), With EU map installed.

Hmmm ... not sure what is going on then. If you were on Windows you could run JaVaWa's Device Manager to help determine what the issue might be but that program hasn't been updated for a while now and doesn't work with the latest mac OS. I've posted a link below in case you have access to a Windows computer.

yeah, javawa is still 32 bit. I will try to use in on a PC if i can get a hold on one.

Is it possible to re-install the Topoactive map? Or have you been using Time Machine, in which case you might have an earlier, uncorrupted backup of the map?

I have allready reinstalled the map. takes almost 6 hours...

I could try Time Machine, havent tought of that. thanks!

Edit: Unfortunately i don't use Time Machine anymore. I forgot about that... :D

OK, another thought... It is not uncommon for SD cards to suffer directory corruption, which could make a legit map file unrecognizable. So you could copy the card contents to your computer, reformat the card (using a free app, not the operating system) and copy the files back.

But if it is the SD, shouldn‘t the one map on the device be showed properly? At the beginning i had three maps, two on SD, one on the device (EU west, center and east, but don‘t know which i which).
