Downloading 700 MB/s for 2 minutes and then slowly dropping to 1.5MB/s for many hours. Yes, I have seen this before. This is 2024, if GARMIN does not invest in more regional servers this will just be a continuing problem. No, I am not being throttled, yes I have high-speed internet, no I don't have a slow machine, and yes my downloads are always fast and easy all day every day for other products. The last time I downloaded from Garmin was 2017 and it was just as bad. Looking at the history of slow-speed downloads forums, it looks like the GARMIN has never addressed their lack of server space serving in different regions. I noticed the monitor for this forum has historically not been very useful except to say the problem is with you and no one else has this problem. Yes, using a VPN does help if you can hit the right location but that is playing a hit-and-miss game. Good luck everyone hope you find what you are looking for. In a year or two SpaceX will have a better product and will make your GARMIN obsolete which is probably for the best anyway.
