Base Camp on a MacBook Air will not recognize my Garmin gps

I'm Running base Camp on my MACBook AIR I only have USB-C ports and it will not show my gps on the device list. so I can't upload trips I created in RV Trip Wizard to my GPS.

I downloaded Garmin Express and then wasable to connect my Garmin RV895 BUT BaseCamp doesnt recognise my device so I can't export my Trip Wizzard route to the GPS. Very frustrating after 3 hours
