Echomap Sonar RSD files -> how to open/extract data

Hi! I saved my sonar file (.RSD) from may Garmin Echomap. Basecamp detected my external usb drive but was not able to display/detect the rsd file for viewing. Please help me or give advoce on how to view the data on Mac. Thanks!

I have the same question. After looking around the net for a while it appears Garmin does not support RSD files any more but appears to let you record them in the finders... 8612 in my case. What's up with this.. if the format is not supported then why allow us to record it? I would like something for a Mac. It seems the alternative to all of this is to do the screen capture recording via ActiveCaptain if I have interpreted all of this correctly.
