I upgraded my MacBook Pro M1 to the new os Ventura (13.0).
Basecamp (4.8.12) starts up, but it is very slow (almost impossible to use).
Do you have any advice on this? Maybe hope for a Basecamp update?

Same problem and same solution for me too, that is to visualize in 3d. But it is a shame!!
I have the same problem on an M1 after updating to Ventura. Not only is it slow when rendering maps but also when producing or editing tracks or routes. Like you say unusable really. Before the update…
in the meantime I solved it with an old trick (this problem has often occurred with updates to the new os) ... I have enabled the 3D view and now it's fine ... but you work in 3d view only

Agree with the previous poster - the only workaround (at least, that I know of) for the slowness is to use the 3D view.
3D workaround works for me as well. Surely that must make it easy to sort the problem out as it points the software engineer to the part of the code that's at fault . I know Garmin are supposedly not supporting Basecamp anymore, but surely that's not acceptable unless they offer an acceptable alternative.

If I recall correctly, "correcting" this problem by switching to 3D view introduced a serious degradation in visual quality - blurry text and map details, etc. Is this the case again, and is this what we are forced to accept, now that BC updates are done?
En el Ventura 13.3 ni siquiera se abre el basecamp, alguna solución? gracias
