My iMac crashed the last 30 years 3 times and all my filed routes where gone.
Last crash last month and again I lost them. So my question is how can I safe my routes on a separate drive?

Copy alldata.gdb and folder.gfi to a separate drive. The first contains the data, the second the folder and file structure
The iMac model did not exist 30 years ago, so either this is a troll or something got lost in translation.
Thanks for reaction, but where can I find .gdb and .gfi files?
You’re right, it’s 3 years
They are a bit buried, but here's the path: [your user name]/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Basecamp/Database/4.8
Thanks a lot. So if ever my Mac crashes I can put these folders back to the same folder from where I’ve copied it?
Yes you can put the saved folders back in their place. Apologies for the troll comment. If you are having hard drive troubles as often as every year, you need a new hard drive and regardless, a good routine backup strategy for all your files -- Time Machine and/or SuperDuper have worked well for me.
Thanks for your reaction, in the backup I couldn’t find my routes, so now I know where they are.
