BaseCamp crash when attempting to convert track to route.

Using BaseCamp 4.8.12 on Mac running OS X Catalina.

Repeated attempts to select a Track and convert it to a Route results in brief appearance of a Route input window followed by immediate crash of the BaseCamp application.

Repeated issue with new Tracks and old.

Advise or remedy?

I guess this has been a longstanding problem in BaseCamp. There are discussions going back 8 years (though under the Windows version). It could be the issue is worse with tracks that are complex, requiring many waypoints. And the historical discussions also to involve tracks that go off road.

Whatever, it is bad that the application crashes. And the developers should expedite a solution.

Never experienced a crash converting a track to a route in BaseCamp, that's in Windows though. If anyone has a track that does this please post it here so others can look at it.

I have an example track that I would share here, but I don't see a means to attach an exported Track to a message here.

From further messing around, it seems the problem is related to the level of complexity for the track. I've been able to convert simple Tracks to Routes. But complex ones (with many turns, even over a short route) gives a crash.

My preferences allow for using 50 waypoints when converting a route to a track. None of the crashout examples should require more than that.....
