Creating tracks

I’ve been an occasional user of Basecamp over the years and recently returned to it.  I’m sure last week when I created a couple of tracks to send to my F6 that the path of the track on the map was followed between two selected points. Now, I’m finding that I have to follow the path on the map by clicking each point along the way.  Was I dreaming? If I wasn’t what do I need to do to have the path on the map,followed?

    Two things come to mind. Were you creating routes on one occasion and tracks on another? If you have a routeable map then creating a route will follow any paths etc on the map, assuming they are routeable. Tracks won't do that.

    My other thought is that you've selected a different map, and before it was a routeable map and now you've selected one that isn't.

    Both suggestions assume you do have a routing activity selected, eg cycling, hiking, driving etc, and haven't selected Direct Activity
