Still confusing Basecamp

Don't ask me how I did it !!!!!!!! I have successfully transferred the route to my Garmin 2797...........I cannot find it on my Garmin

Please advise

Is there a way to merge the data in the old Road Trip program with the data in my Base Camp program?

If so, would you give specific steps for Base Camp v3.3.1 being used with Mac OS X 10.7.3?
