Has anyone installed macOS 12.0.1 Monterey?

Has anyone installed macOS 12.0.1 Monterey? If so, have you experienced any new problems of note with Garmin BaseCamp (or with Express or any other Garmin software, for that matter)?

Yes I have installed Monterey to my Mac Mini - Basecamp loads and Express see's my Nav VI - I haven't transferred any routes over yet but so far all seems fine.

I am having the same problem as ajherrera: so far I can't get BaseCamp to "see" the Montana 650. I also just downloaded the current Basecamp (4.8.12), which is what I had .. but just in case ... no change. Doesn't recognize my Montana. (I'm using an iMac.)

I have on a new macBook Pro. Also switched from version 3 basecamp. It generally works on etrek 30, but some stuff is very slow such a elevation window. Info window on a track is that it hides actual summary line. I'd avoided updating because I didn't like the loss of the "open in GoogleEarth" command which I'm always using. Now I have to export it then drag it into GE. I still need to remove the <MultiGeometry> tag to make better in GE (measurements work then)

I just did my first Garmin software update for a 66st running 12.0.1 Monterey and now the unit will not power back up. I connected it to the computer, fired up Basecamp, and it hung. Never had any problems with it before. Currently retrying.

Garmin Support fixed my problem: The article below goes over how to ensure removable drives are allowed on your Mac.

However, when I got to putting a "check" next to Garmin / removable disk, that was already checked. I unchecked it, and re-checked it. Then did a restart. Works now.

This solved my problem also. I needed to repeat the process for both Gamin Express for the Edge 5`0 to be recognized and for Basecamp for the BMW Navigator to be recognized. Thank you for the help, Evan!

yes, basecamp and express works fine on a 2689. but the poi loader 2.4.2 does does not work for me

BaseCamp & Express on 12.2.1 seems to work fine with Garmin's native OS devices like the old GPSmap 62s (you see an external drive mapped), but BaseCamp doesn't recognize my newer ones like a DriveSmart 55 & 65 based on Android OS.

My workaround: Ex- and Import lists, routes and places in 'gpx' file format using Android File Transfer (AFT) to copy between the Mac and the GXP-Folder on the respective Garmin Device (in that case it doesn't matter if both AFT & BaseCamp are running ...). But play a little bit & make a backup of the stuff inside prior to delete anything on the Garmin device with AFT (there is some guidance around about the files location(s) and function - but that might be changing and AFT is a powerful tool that might also harm ...).
