Open a data recording account

Help!  I recently deleted all my data from my Garmin watch account.  I thought that would be ok, because then I could just start again and record data.

however, now, my watch won’t record any data to my Garmin apps, and I can’t understand why it isn’t easier to get this back to normal.  I just want the watch to behave like it did when I first bought it.  But, after deleting my data, no data is being recorded.
