All my tracks and maps are loaded onto my iMac. I have both .img files and Ordnance Survey maps bought by subscription. I want to be able to access all my tracks and maps both from my desktop - and from my laptop when I'm away from home. I thought I could do that by locating my Basecamp library file on Dropbox.
But I have just realised that the Basecamp library file does NOT include the OS maps (.jnx files). Presumably that's because the library only holds a pointer to the address of the jnx file, not the actual file. Is there any way that I can have Basecamp on the laptop point to the same address as on the desktop?
Or would it be safer to set up the laptop with an entirely different library file, and load it with the relevant jnx files, routes and tracks when I go away from home? Then, when back home, I would have to move the new tracks into my desktop BaseCamp.
I am wary of doing something on the laptop which would alter the definitive BaseCamp library on the desktop.
Many thanks!
