I opened a .gpx file created on Windows on an Apple and the turn by turn directions are missing.

I was sent a gpx file created on Windows 10 in Basecamp.  I opened the file on my Apple MacBook air running Big Sur.  The turn by turn directions are not there.  Any ideas as to ho to get them to appear on my Mac???
