This User Interface is incomprehensible

I am using the latest BaseCamp on the Mac (4.8.11).

it is nearly impossible to figure out how to create a trip/route/track that will successfully show up on my BMW Nav !V.

Also, is there anyway to hide all the trips/routes/track on the map and display only the one I have selected?

Why are the icons so BIG in the left "tree" view, the draw3 over top of each other.

The Icons issue on the left is a bug that Garmin refuses to recognize.

Yes the user interface is incomprehensible and the routing is puzzling as well.

Google Maps and Apple Maps set with the same avoidances calculate nearly the same [11xx mile] route (with some minor differences.) Basecamp with the same avoidances calculates and incomprehensible 14xx mile route. I now use another applications to create a GPX track file and simply use Basecamp to upload that to my Garmin GPS unit.

I am currently forced to use Garmin because it is the only option for my motorcycle.

When I no longer have this bike, I will ditch Garmin as well. I have never dealt with a more customer ambivalent organization...

Not struggling at all, I started with Map Source and have used Basecamp for years. I was just commenting that is junk software...

This is the same feeling I got when I encounter the UI. The UI felt like it was developed by a thousand people with no coordination or a overall high level goal. I was on the verge of returning that 700, Anyway, enough of bitching on my part.

I spent a few hours trying to figure things out and SUSSAMB has a link that helped even more. I'd suggest that you take some time and follow the tutorial. It's helpful to me.
