BaseCamp 4.8.11 keeps crashing on MacBook Pro Big Sur

I'm using Basecase 4.8.11 on a 13"m 2019 MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur Version 11.3. My problem is that Basecamp has just started crashing repeatedly. Never did this before the latest Apple update.

Rookie error... I'm in the middle of a multi-day rally and this is destroying my ride. I need to figure out how to fix this. Please... anything you can suggest.

Try an uninstall then reinstall

That’s one of the first things I tried. It did nothing to solve the situation. I was hopeful, but sadly disappointed.

Did you download it directly from Garmin? There have been issues with downloads from the Apple store in the past.

What does the console say? I'm on a Mini M1 here on 11.3.
