Mac Pro M1 Not working with BMW Nav 6

Hi. I have recently bought a Mac Pro with the M1 processor and I can no longer sync the Nav 6. It connects and will charge but doesn't flip into Data/Storage mode to allow me to Sync. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know of a fix? I've tried multiple cables and I've also used standard Apple brand adapters as well. Thanks

Hello. I believe it's a hardware driver issue. We're on the same boat here.

I found a workaround. Restart you MacBook M1 with the GPS connected. The Mac will see the GPS and load the volume to the desktop.!

Following your post, I tried my Nav 6 with my new M1 Mac Mini - works perfectly (although took a couple of minutes to see it) so I guess only a problem with the

Mac Pro rather than the M1 chip.

I had a different solution for my M2 MacBook Air. I connected the Navigator to a USB-A charger and as soon as I saw the connected screen on the Navigator I unplugged it and moved it to the USB-A to USB-C dongle on my MacBook Air and it connected perfectly. The nav doesn't seem to like being connected to the USB-A to C dongle directly.
