Track Distances Not Showing after Update to Big Sur

Hi.

I've recently updated to Big Sur and updated Basecamp to 4.8.11. When I display the Info window for a track, then highlight a section of the track (by selecting a range of points), Basecamp no longer shows details of the section highlighted. There are the usual columns at the bottom of the Track window (Points, Distance, Area, Ascent, Descent, Max Elevation, Min Elevation, Avg. Grade), but the boxes are empty. If I select all the points, the boxes are still empty. The very bottom of the map has a status bar which shows the data for the whole track, irrespective og whether points are selected or not, but there's no longer any way to get details of a particular section of a track. This wasn't the case before I moved up to Big Sur - selecting points showed the relevant data for the selection. I've tried changing the window size and looking for options to expand or move borders around inside boxes where the information should be, but there don't seem to be any options. I've re-booted the Mac a couple of times and tried switching between 2D and 3D views, but to no avail. I use this feature quite a bit for planning walks and bike rides and it will be a pain if it's no longer available. Has anyone got any ideas?

What version were you at before the upgrade to 4.8.11? If it was 4.7.x or earlier, perhaps it will be possible to dig around in your Library files and get the older, more complete, data from a previous folder. eg: Duplicate folder 4.7 and rename it 4.8, replacing the existing 4.8.

Expand the dialog to the right. It appears you do not have any coordinates.

There are coordinates - as I said in the post, the total track distance, and other stats, are shown in the grey status bar at the bottom of the map. When I select a range of points it shows the selected area on the track on the map. Everything else seems to be working OK except the missing data in the boxes at the bottom of the dialogue box.

If you are referring to the fact that the coordinates are not showing that's because the dialogue box isn't wide enough. See my reply to bobgps below. There isn't a problem with my data - all my maps, tracks, routes, waypoints and notes are there, and they all display correctly on the maps. The only thing that doesn't show is data for any selections I make in tracks.

Just to be clear, I've added arrows to the image to show where the information is missing. Normally these boxes have the information for the selected range.

I seen the data missing in the bottom in your first post. There is a bug in Basecamp that removes some of the track data and thought it may have removed the coordinates in your situation because you didn't show att the data.

Thanks, Bob. My data are all there - I just checked some recorded tracks and the time stamps are all there, as are notes and stuff.

Oh, yeah. I've noticed this, too. Can you click in that too-narrow window and scroll up or down and see the data? ANOTHER BaseCamp bug.

Wow! However did you find that? Thanks, daknudsen. As you say, another Basecamp bug - a double bug really because it scrolls the "wrong" way. It's so annoying that Garmin make decent hardware and then do the bare minimum with software and support.
