Basecamp loads easily on my M1 silicon Mac running Sonoma 14.4.1, in fact since I updated to Sonoma I have found it runs much better than previously. Garmin express also runs normally however, you must ensure that you go to Express preferences and untick the box allowing Express to run in the background. This is because if you are connecting an Android device then Mac OS will only allow a connection to one program and therefore you would not be able to connect to basecamp as well at the same time.
