Alert: There was a problem communicating with the Garmin device.

I get this message every time i connect my eTrex20 to my Mac and run Basecamp. Everything seems to be working fine however. How do i get rid of this message?

Do you perhaps have something else connected that your Mac is seeing as a Garmin device? Alternatively it may be pointing to corrupt data on your Etrex, try removing all your data and see if the error persists. If it doesn't then add the data back bit by bit until you identify the corrupt file.

I have an SD in the Garmin that is called GARMIN DATA. Name conflict?

That in itself shouldn't be an issue, so more likely it's a corrupt data file
