Basecamp 4.8.9 won't open on Mac OsX 10.15.5

I wonder if someone can help me please.

I have re-installed the app. Downloaded from the Garmin site, downloaded from the App store and still it won't open the application. I used to use Basecamp often on my mac but now it seems it doesn't work any more. Anybody have any ideas for me or perhaps there is a new application for Mac? Have some data I need to get off my GPS.

The window says Basecamp quit unexpectedly.

Thanks. This solved my problem earlier. I found an online article that explained with Catalina there is no longer 32 bit programming only 64bit. Even though I deleted and re-installed numerous times it…

I'm using Basecamp 4.8.9 on mac 0S Catalina Vers. 10.15.6 without any issue currently, if that helps -

At this point I would recommend doing a full uninstall of BaseCamp using steps in this article: Uninstalling Garmin BaseCamp , then restart your computer and try installing BaseCamp from https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/basecamp/.

Thanks. This solved my problem earlier. I found an online article that explained with Catalina there is no longer 32 bit programming only 64bit. Even though I deleted and re-installed numerous times it required deleting the Plist and two other folders in the library folder. After doing that the app now runs. Thanks for the help.
